Company History

JEM, located in the Berkshire Mountains of New York, was created by Phil Zager formerly of Smallbone and Christopher Peacock. From the beginning, we have been committed to building furniture with only the highest quality materials and finest workmanship. Now, in our second generation of ownership, JEM's stellar reputation continues to bring new clientele from New York, Connecticut, and throughout the Eastern U.S.

Despite our growth, we remain devoted to the traditional English style of cabinet making. When you entrust your kitchen to JEM you can be assured the ultimate result will be a room that exceeds your expectations and sets your home apart. JEM's president, Neil Schnelwar, is passionate about woodworking and is engaged in every aspect of the business, from sales to installation. His deep personal connection to the company ensures that JEM will continue to produce only the highest quality kitchens designed, built, and installed with the utmost care and attention to detail.
