Walk into the JEM Woodworking shop and you will see dozens of nickels. We use these coins to uniformly size the gap between each cabinet door and drawer opening so that everything is "nickel width." The "nickel width" is a simple detail but it speaks volumes about how the JEM team approaches the craft of cabinet making and is just one of many ways that we honor a timeless tradition of quality workmanship. JEM uses English woodworking standards that have been honed over years of precise craftsmanship in the field. The nickel gauge and many other specialized extras make JEM cabinets unique among custom cabinet options.

In order to be certain that we have thought of every detail, at JEM we actually recreate your room before each set of cabinets leaves our shop. For example, base cabinets are set on level platforms and upper cabinets are hung on walls. This meticulous pre-installation step may take more effort, but it allows us to adjust and fit each piece exactly as it will be installed in your home.
