Our Process - From Design to Installation

Phase 1 - Design Development
Our design process begins with a preliminary proposal based on architectural drawings, and is followed up with an initial meeting where the client's "wish list" is unveiled. It is important for the client to discuss:

Following the initial meeting a preliminary design is provided within 1-2 weeks. With approval, JEM will determine the perfect cabinet layout and design the interiors, doors, drawers, hinges and other hardware while the client decides on final appliances, countertops and lighting. As part of our commitment to detail, we conduct a site measurement 6-8 weeks prior to delivery.

Phase 2 - Delivery
Cabinets are delivered after signed final drawings have been received and the site conditions are met. This includes installation of windows, sheetrock and floors, as well as a balanced climate.

Phase 3 - Installation
Cabinet installation begins 1-2 days after delivery - once the wood has acclimated. We begin by installing bases first to allow for countertops to be template right away; we then install the uppers. Please note that appliances can be delivered at any time during cabinet installation. Finally, our team finishes the cabinetry, which takes 5-6 days, then makes final adjustments and completes the installation with hardware.
